In the middle of a lesson on domain/range in functions...

Me: Any questions?
Student: Who came first, Adam or Eve?
Me: Let me rephrase, any relevant questions?
Student: No, seriously--who was first? Was it Adam? Because boys are x, and girls are y. Adam is first, so x is first, so x is domain.

Wow.
